Our analyses enable precise assessment of the mechanical properties of foams, which is essential for their use in the production of furniture, mattresses, and other consumer products. The scope of testing includes:

  • Density and hardness of foams: Measurement of foam bulk density and determination of its resistance to pressure (hardness). These parameters are crucial for the structure, material uniformity, user comfort, and product durability.
  • Mechanical strength of foams: Testing resistance to tensile forces (tear strength) and the material's ability to elongate under stress. These properties allow for the assessment of the elasticity and mechanical strength of foams.
  • Elasticity of foam materials: Analysis of foams' ability to recover their original shape after deformation, which affects user comfort and the durability of products in everyday use.
  • Analysis of permanent deformation: Examination of the extent to which foam retains permanent deformations after prolonged pressure (compression set), which is crucial for assessing the functional durability of materials.

  • EN ISO 2439: Measurement of hardness using the indentation method for flexible polyurethane foams.
  • EN ISO 1798: Determination of tensile properties of flexible porous plastics.
  • EN ISO 8307: Measurement of rebound resilience for flexible polyurethane foams.
  • EN ISO 1856: Determination of compression set for flexible porous plastics.
